Healing through painting

Really enjoyed my little art project!

Disclaimer: I’m not a professional painter!

As I move through my journey of healing C-PTSD, depression and a host of other issues, I find that painting can be very relaxing and oddly healing.

It’s satisfying in a way that I can’t quite explain. This painting ended up being a bird, though when I started out, I had no intentions of it being anything.

Which is why I think painting regardless of the medium I use, is so satisfying. I personally never know what, if anything my painting will be. The majority of the time, they reflect my inner feelings. Where I’m at emotionally or psychologically.

I’m happy that this is available for me therapeutically. Whatever you do for mental health, enjoy!
